1) You choose a piece that you like

2) You put the disc in (or in any other way)

3) You listen to the piece

Do you listen to the first note only? Or the second one? No! You continue listening to the flow of music, whether you know the piece or not... You listen to it and if you want to know it by heart (note choice of word), you put it on repeat and listen to it more and more.

Sometimes, it is more complex. You want to sing that piece or play it on an instrument, which in this example could represent the love that you put in your practice.

Take the image of Mozart as depicted in the movie "Amadeus" for example. He could concentrate intensively, for long periods of time. He would hear music in his head (he was the perfect "listener"). Then, he would write, without making a single mistake. In other words, his first draft was the final copy.

With this example we can deduce that to be able to listen to your inner self, you have to develop an intense concentration, as if you were trying to light up a fire spinning a piece of wood against the ground with your two hands. With more focus, you will become agile in your concentration.

The key to attain this is to first do it for your own sake, your temple and your divinity and not to please others or fulfill their needs.

Be conscious that the art of listening to oneself is a sacred gift, which is meant to be enjoyed as soon as the first note starts. Take some time to develop the Mozart in you!
